‘I saw the storm coming.’

I started noticing something within me that didn't feel aligned. Instead of turning away from it, I began to connect more deeply with that part of myself because I knew it was there for a reason.

We all carry different parts within us—parts that developed with a specific purpose: to protect us, even when the ways they protect us are no longer healthy.

As a young child, I experienced many traumatic events that I wasn't able to process on my own. To protect me from further pain, that part of me was born. It entered my life to keep me safe, and it did the very best it could at a time when no one else was there to help me. I felt lonely, abandoned, and scared.

That part has been with me since a very early age, and now it's my turn to take care of it. To offer it the love, compassion, and understanding it has always deserved. To truly meet it and gently integrate it back into myself.

This deep healing process takes time. Although this part has always been familiar to me, it was also the part I neglected and avoided for many years. I don't blame myself, because so much of what shapes us happens on an unconscious level.

Healing begins when we bring awareness to those hidden places and reconnect with who we truly are beneath the layers of conditioning, fear, and limiting beliefs. It's a journey that asks for curiosity, courage, and a willingness to feel deeply. To take one step at a time without rushing. To be patient. To remain open to receiving guidance.

I am walking this path myself, and I know how difficult it can be to face the truth within us. My own experience has taught me that we can not heal entirely on our own. We need support to help us go deeper. Meeting ourselves after years of avoidance and suppression can feel incredibly uncomfortable—sometimes even frightening.

If you find yourself in that place, know that you are never alone.
